Nestled into the rolling wilderness, just 20 minutes south of Riding Mountain National Park, the Fiddlehead Cabin sits perched on an elevated lookout offering a 180* panoramic view of the meadow, valley and forest beyond. Nature lovers, romantic couples and small families quickly adapt to the laissez-faire vibe that is synonymous with the area and particularly enjoy decompressing in the enchanting outdoor sauna located in the spruce grove just steps away.

The interior of the Fiddlehead exudes a most tasteful ambiance. Cream coloured adobe walls are accented by rich hardwood floors, antique furnishings, and a combination of internationally collected and hand hewn artwork. Two large picture windows face east providing excellent viewing from both the living and dining rooms. The kitchen is efficient and fully equipped as is the rest of the cabin, complete with all bedding, blankets and towels. All you really need to bring is your own food and drink. The water is excellent right out of the tap.

2.1 km trail Out Your Front Door

A groomed hiking/biking trail meanders from the front door across the wildflower meadow and through a majestic spruce forest for 2.1 kms … basically your own private little park.

At the end of a full and busy day spent up at the Park many guests comment that they can’t wait to retreat home to their peaceful cabin in the hills, sip a glass of wine, prepare a delicious dinner and sit back on their porch to watch the sun go down. Spot Our Local Great Grey Owl

The surrounding landscape boasts a wild rolling topography abundant with fresh mountain streams, lakes and forests … and offers home to a wide variety of wildlife. From your comfy deck chairs enjoy viewing white-tail deer, elk, moose, foxes, lynx, rabbits, squirrels, and a plethora of bird species too numerous to mention. The resident great grey owl loves it here and has become a popular frequent flyer, often spotted perching on the tips of the spruces trees that ensconce the Fiddlehead Cabin. The yard itself is soft and grassy with a side path that leads to a most enchanting and therapeutic ‘sauna in the woods
